About the Role Are you interested in working with modern, enterprise‑scale data and analytics platforms? Do you enjoy understanding how BI platforms operate under the hood - from performance and capacity, to connectivity, reliability and governance? This role sits at the core of Aon’s Data Platform, supporting and optimising our enterprise BI technologies to ensure they run securely, reliably and at scale for teams across the business. You will focus on the operational health and performance of BI platforms that enable analytics across Aon, working in a complex, large‑scale environment. What will your day look like. Operate and support enterprise BI platforms that enable analytics across Aon Ensure BI platforms run securely, reliably and at scale Monitor platform health and performance, identifying risks and optimisation opportunities Lead investigation and resolution of BI platform incidents Work closely with analytics and infrastructure teams to support platform‑level changes Act as a subject‑matter expert and escalation point for BI platform behaviour and performance. What We’re Looking For We’re looking for candidates with strong hands‑on experience operating and supporting enterprise BI platforms, including: Experience administering BI platforms such as Power BI Service / Fabric, Tableau Server, Alteryx Server or Sigma Proven experience maintaining platform health, managing performance and supporting production environments Strong ability to troubleshoot issues end‑to‑end and identify platform‑level root cause Strong SQL skills for troubleshooting and diagnostics, including testing connections, investigating performance issues and supporting root‑cause analysis Experience managing gateways, data sources, permissions, governance, upgrades and system‑level changes Strong Power BI knowledge to validate data models, DAX behaviour and report performance when investigating issues Experience working with infrastructure or platform teams in a large or enterprise environment A methodical, analytical approach to problem‑solving and incident management Additional Experience That Supports the Role The following experience is beneficial and helps with platform investigation and collaboration with analytics teams: Building dashboards or reports in Power BI or Tableau Data modelling, ETL concepts, DAX, M Query or Power Query Developing Alteryx or Sigma workflows or models Visualisation design and UX best practices Exposure to modern cloud data platforms (such as Databricks or Snowflake) Experience supporting BI platforms in regulated or professional services environments Familiarity with IT service management practices or enterprise IT frameworks Windows server administration related to BI platforms (services, drivers, ODBC connections) Exposure to third‑party platform management, including licensing or vendor engagement A degree in IT, computer science, data analytics, mathematics or a related discipline is desirable Post‑graduate qualifications in a relevant discipline are advantageous. 2580466 Job Title- Enterprise BI Platform Engineer Position type- Full Time Work Location- Bangalore Working style- Hybrid Shift Time- 12:30 PM to 9:30 PM People Manager role: No Required education and certifications critical for the role- Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, data analytics, mathematics, or related field; or equivalent experience.
