Test Manager
Job description
JD We are seeking a senior Test Manager to lead all testing and assurance activities across the programme. The Test Manager will define and lead the end-to-end testing strategy and execution across SIT, UAT, OAT, and Business Acceptance Testing (BAT), ensuring full validation of technology, operational processes, controls, and people readiness for each release. The Test Manager will act as the single point of accountability for programme-level test assurance and provide independent go/no-go recommendations to Programme Leadership.
Key Responsibilities Define and execute the end-to-end test strategy across all phases (SIT, UAT, OAT, BAT) Lead integrated testing across multiple workstreams, platforms, business units and programme teams Leading a matrixed team of testing resources including resources from an outsourced test service provider and business and technology operations Own and enforce entry/exit criteria and quality gates Own end to end business scenario (‘client journeys’) catalogue Lead Operational and Business Acceptance Testing to validate readiness of Operations teams Oversee test environments and data strategy Provide clear, independent reporting and assurance to Executive Leadership (TBC) Lead dress rehearsals and provide formal go-live readiness recommendation
Ideal Candidate Profile Proven experience leading testing on large-scale Financial Services transformation programmes Strong understanding of Financial Services Extensive experience in complex, multi-platform integration environments Ability to operate at programme level and influence senior stakeholders Programme-level thinker (not a traditional QA/Test Manager) Deep understanding of end-to-end banking journeys Comfortable operating across Technology and Operations Strong presence and credibility with executive stakeholders
