Role Overview Sodexo is seeking a Human Resources Manager to support Salem-Keizer School District 24J in Salem, OR. This role supports a large frontline team in a fast-paced environment. The HR Manager partners closely with on-site leadership to drive a positive culture, strong employee engagement, and effective employee relations. Success requires strong communication skills, client interaction, and the ability to build trust across all levels. This role is hands-on and leads full-cycle recruiting while actively engaging with employees in the field. Knowledge of Oregon Sick Leave laws is preferred. What You'll Do recruit and onboard frontline employees utilizing onboarding and payroll systems; possess knowledge of state and federal HR laws; maintain active and terminated employee files; coordinate and conduct required weekly/monthly/annual training for hourly staff; complete special projects based on business needs regarding human resources data and analysis What We Offer Compensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience. What You Bring have 3-5 years of applicable experience possess knowledge of state and federal HR laws; possess excellent customer service skills for phone conversations and email responses; work well independently and as part of a team; understand and respect sensitive and confidential information; have excellent computer skills with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as the ability to learn additional computer programs and applications as needed; demonstrate the ability to manage competing priorities and meet time demands.
