Location Remote (Europe) Travel Required (~5 trips, ~2 weeks each)
About the Role
We are seeking a mid-level Project Manager to lead technical projects from inception to completion. You will ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope while coordinating internal and cross-functional agile teams. A key success factor is experience working across different time zones and managing multiple development teams simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage technical projects ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and defined scope.
- Develop and maintain project proposals, timelines, funding, staffing, and specifications.
- Set and track milestones, forecast potential delays, and proactively adapt schedules.
- Establish clear communication plans and provide status updates to stakeholders and Senior Management.
- Facilitate requirements gathering and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Coordinate internal and external resources, managing risks to minimize delivery delays.
- Regularly communicate with clients to align on project expectations and handle issues.
- Foster proactive, self-organizing teams with a continuous improvement attitude.
Requirements (What you'll bring)
- 3+ years of IT project management experience, including development work and client interactions.
- Proven experience managing projects across different time zones.
- Solid knowledge of software development and deployment industry standards.
- Strong experience working with cross-functional agile teams and multi-team environments.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA) and Agile techniques/artifacts (User Stories, Epics, Backlog, DoD/DoR).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills in English.
- Willingness to travel (approx. 5 business trips, around 2 weeks each).
Nice to have
- Professional Project Management or Scrum Master certification (PMP, PRINCE2, PSM).
- An IT technical background (former Engineer, QA, or Architect).
- Strong written and spoken communication skills in Italian.
