HVAC Engineer

Job responsibilities

• Design, install, and maintain HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency within the data centre.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of HVAC equipment to prevent system failures and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with the facilities management team to develop and implement strategies for improving HVAC system performance and reducing energy consumption.
• Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC system issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain operational continuity.
• Monitor and analyze system performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations in the operation and maintenance of HVAC systems.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation related to HVAC system performance and maintenance activities.

Job requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC system design, installation, and maintenance, preferably in a data centre environment.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including chillers, air handlers, and cooling towers.
• Proficiency in using HVAC design and analysis software.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Certification in HVAC systems or related fields is preferred.
