Job description

Royal Ocean Marine is looking for a highly skilled Procurement Manager specializing in offshore shipping to join our client's dynamic team. The Procurement Manager will lead all procurement activities related to offshore shipping projects, ensuring cost-effective purchasing, supplier management, and compliance with industry standards. This role requires strategic thinking, excellent negotiation skills, and comprehensive knowledge of the offshore shipping sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to support offshore shipping operations.
  • Manage and coordinate the end-to-end procurement process including sourcing, tendering, contracting, and supplier selection.
  • Negotiate contracts and prices with suppliers to optimize cost efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to understand procurement needs and specifications.
  • Monitor market trends to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Lead and mentor the procurement team to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Maritime Studies, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience in offshore shipping or maritime industry.
  • Proven track record in contract negotiation and supplier management.
  • Strong knowledge of offshore shipping operations, equipment, and materials.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
