Job description
- Manage Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and ensure compliance across all contractors.
- Act as the primary liaison between construction, commissioning, and operations teams regarding energy safety.
- Review and approve energy isolation plans and permits.
- Conduct field inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Stop unsafe work practices and enforce OSHA and NFPA 70E standards.
- Monitor and report on energy usage and performance metrics.
- Validate mechanical and electrical system performance during commissioning.
- Assist in implementing energy-saving strategies and sustainability best practices.
- Maintain detailed records of energy control activities and compliance metrics.
- Train and mentor teams on electrical safety and energy isolation procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field
- 5 - 7 years in electrical safety management, preferably in data center or mission-critical environments.
- Experience with energy isolation systems, commissioning processes, and large-scale electrical infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems, HVAC, UPS, switchgear, and BMS.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and commissioning documentation.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and energy monitoring tools.
