Flight Dynamics and Modeling Engineer (m/f/d)

As a Flight Dynamics and Modeling Engineer, you will play a key role in our mission aircraft team and support the development and validation of high-fidelity aircraft models across the full flight envelope. As part of Quantum Systems’ aircraft division, you’ll contribute to one of the most exciting German aviation projects of the years to come.

Working closely with the team around our aircraft activities, your role can span across multiple disciplines — from hands‑on technical work to system‑level responsibility.

Our focus is on getting large airborne platforms into the air and ready for real operational use.

What is your Day to Day Mission

•

Design, implement, and validate flight dynamics and subsystem models using MATLAB / Simulink

•

Aircraft dynamics (aerodynamics, propulsion, etc)

•

Subsystem dynamics (actuators, sensors, etc)

•

Modeling of failure behavior of each subsystem

•

Responsible for trimming, linearization, and linear/nonlinear validation

•

Consideration of portability of model to hardware-in-the-loop environment

•

Continuous validation and improvement of model based on (flight) test data

•

Apply system identification methods to improve model

•

Support (flight) test planning, execution, and analysis to acquire relevant data

•

Document implementations, maintain clear and readable technical artifacts, and ensure traceability of changes.
