Job Posting Details
The Purchasing Office is searching for capable and self-motivated individual to fill the role of Assistant Purchasing Manager. The appointee is required to:
- manage vendor registration and related matters;
- review and improve procurement process and systems;
- participate in the implementation of the ERP system, including providing feedback and supporting training to internal and external users;
- analyze purchase data and identify opportunities for consolidation, and develop effective procurement and sourcing strategies; and
- perform any other duties as assigned.
Reporting to the Senior Purchasing Manager, the Assistant Purchasing Managers will lead Purchasing Officers to provide one-stop procurement service for the university community.
Applicants should have a recognized degree and at least 5 years of working experience in purchasing and tendering, including some years at a supervisory level, preferably in a government, university or public sector setting. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
