WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Business Controller, you play a critical role in driving our goals, growth, profitability and business forward. You are a true ambassador for a profitability mindset with a strong analytical focus and knowledge-based approach. Supporting APAC sales markets to reach their selling and profitability goals, offering our customers a great customer experience, whilst at the same time keeping costs under control.
You are responsible to monitor and provide regular reports on performance across cost, service and sustainability in the Logistics continent APAC, to get transparency and provide guidance from a financial and operational perspective. Owner of the APAC dashboards and reports, also leading the work to develop tools and enable a data driven way to identify trends, challenges and opportunities in the Logistics APAC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for logistics financial controlling including budgeting, accounting, cost management. Together with all functions to set strategies for maximising profit and efficiency for both short and long-term. Manage and own the full logistics P/L.
- Analyse monthly results and follow-up on data fluctuations with action plan for cost improvement.
- Oversee new projects and ROIs of business cases. Support and enable mid to long-term growth through strategic planning and capacity need projections.
- Ensure correctness of accounting and finance activities – secure robust and accurate financial budget, forecasts (incl. capex), invoicing and booking control.
- Ensure all internal and external routines connected to compliance are secured in the best way.
- Coordinate target definition process and follow-up for the continent, leading activities to steer continent area towards defined global and continent targets, with focus on financial profitability and operational performance from an end-to-end logistics perspective.
- Develop tools to improve operational and financial monitoring, e.g. live monitoring of logistics flows, leading the work to enable a data driven way to identify trends, challenges and opportunities in the continent.
- Act as stakeholder and advisor in continent business decisions through sound financial and quantitative analysis and input.
WHO YOU ARE
We are looking for people with…
- 3+ years of experience in business controlling, financial controlling, or financial analysis
- Extensive knowledge of controlling, as well as logistics operational capabilities is highly beneficial
- A degree in business, finance or equivalent area
- Strong collaborative approach with the ability to interact and navigate with different stakeholders, both internally and externally, with different levels of seniority.
- Analytical, data and results driven with good problem-solving skills to drive profitability
- Strong financial understanding with attention to details
- Open and curious mindset, courageous in the face of obstacles, good time management skills
- Holistic view for the bigger perspective with a visionary approach
