Job Purpose
You will lead day-to-day Production Process at our Pakistan site. You will work closely with quality, engineering, maintenance, planning, and supply teams. We value clear decision-making, practical problem solving and coaching of people to optimize, and ensure the efficient operation of Production processes, adhering to quality standards, regulatory compliance, inspection readiness, and production schedules. The role focuses on improving operational performance, driving cost-effectiveness, and ensuring safety with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational targets and offers growth, meaningful impact on supply reliability, and a chance to help GSK unite science, technology, and talent to get ahead of disease together.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily production operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets.
- Provide technical authority for production processes; lead resolution of complex issues using structured root‑cause analysis
- Drive end‑to‑end improvement initiatives to increase yield, productivity and reduce waste by identifying systemic constraints and implementing sustainable solutions.
- Own the daily production schedule for your unit and adjust resources to meet weekly and monthly supply plans.
- Supervise, coach, and develop production technicians to ensure right-first-time execution and safe work.
- Act as the unit subject matter expert during internal and external inspections and support inspection readiness.
- Lead investigations of critical deviations, support CAPA delivery and ensure timely closure of actions.
- Identify and deliver continuous improvement projects to improve reliability, reduce waste and increase efficiency.
- Ensure production activities follow good manufacturing practice and site quality procedures.
- Approve and maintain production instructions, batch records, and in-process controls.
- Plan manpower allocation based on forecast and operational needs.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance, validations, and equipment availability with engineering.
- Support budgeting and capital planning for the unit and contribute to operational cost control.
- Promote a safe and open working environment and support learning from incidents and near misses.
- Ensure risk assessments, communication, and action planning as per the Risk Management System (RMS); provide operational support as required (e.g., FLL cover, documentation, CI implementation).
Education, Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 3- 7 years’ experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, preferably pharmaceutical.
- Strong knowledge of good manufacturing practices, batch documentation, and quality systems.
- Practical experience managing deviations, CAPA, RMS and audit or inspection readiness.
- Willingness to work on-site and to support shift patterns as required by site operations.
- Experience in Multiple dosage manufacturing process.
- Hands-on experience with Lean, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methods.
- Practical exposure to process validation, change control and manufacturing systems.
- Strong planning, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Experience coaching teams and supporting succession planning.
