Job description

Civil Inspection Activities

  • Conduct inspection of civil and structural activities such as excavation, formwork, rebar placement, concrete , finishing, and backfilling.

  • Verify that all materials and workmanship comply with approved project specifications, standards, and ITP (Inspection and Test Plan).

  • Review and verify civil work procedures, method statements, and checklists before execution.

  • Ensure that approved drawings and latest revisions are being used on site.

  • Witness and document all quality control tests (e.g., slump test, cube test, compaction test, etc.).

  • Prepare and maintain inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action records.

  • Coordinate with construction, engineering, and QA/QC teams to resolve quality issues.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable international standards (ASTM, ACI, BS, ISO) and client specifications.

  • Participate in internal and external audits and assist in closing audit findings.

  • Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure quality requirements are met.

  • Support continuous improvement of quality systems and site processes.

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

  • Experience: Minimum 5–8 years of experience as a Civil QCI in EPC or construction projects (preferably in oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial sectors, early civil works, concrete works, road and compaction activities).

  • Familiar with project specifications, QA/QC procedures, ITPs, and method statements.

  • Knowledge of international standards (ASTM, ACI, BS, ISO).

  • Understanding of EPC project lifecycle.
