Duties, Responsibilities & Other Sr. Human Resource Generalist-Benefits is responsible for leading the design, administration, and continuous improvement of KCI's employee benefits programs. This role supports KCI's commitment to providing employee-owners with competitive and meaningful benefits that promote health, financial well-being, professional growth, and long-term success. The Sr. Human Resource Generalist partners with the Director of Human Resources, Finance, and business leaders to ensure benefit programs align with KCI's values, employee ownership culture, and strategic objectives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage the administration of all employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement, wellness, leave of absence, and employee assistance programs. Serve as the primary contact for employees, benefit brokers, consultants, insurance carriers, retirement plan providers, and third-party administrators. Lead annual open enrollment activities, including planning, employee communications, system configuration, employee education, and enrollment audits. Evaluate benefit plans and market trends to ensure KCI maintains competitive offerings that support employee attraction, retention, and engagement. Partner with Finance and leadership teams to analyze benefit costs, utilization trends, and long-term program sustainability. Support the administration and communication of KCI's retirement programs, including the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) and 401(k) plans. Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including ERISA, COBRA, ACA, HIPAA, FMLA, and other benefit-related requirements. Oversee leave administration processes and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure a consistent employee experience. Develop and deliver KCI’s employee communications and educational materials that increase awareness and understanding of available benefit programs. Partner with HRIS, Payroll, and Human Resources teams to maintain accurate benefit data and improve administrative efficiency. Monitor industry trends and recommend innovative programs that support employee wellness, financial security, and work-life balance. Assist with KCI’s HR due diligence and integration activities related to acquisitions and organizational growth initiatives. Prepare reports, metrics, and executive summaries to support decision making to KCI’s management. Provide guidance and resolution for complex employee benefit inquiries and escalated issues. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Seven+ years of progressive experience in benefits administration and benefits management Strong understanding of health and welfare plans, retirement programs, compliance requirements and leave administration Managing vendor relationships and benefit program services. Knowledge of HRIS platforms and benefits administration systems. Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills. Ability to communicate complex benefit information in a clear and employee-friendly manner. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Pre-employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment. Motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Microsoft Dynamics. Experience supporting employee-owned organizations or ESOP environments. Experience within engineering, consulting, construction, environmental, or professional services organizations. Experience supporting a multi-state workforce across multiple office locations. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
