Job description
- Develop and implement comprehensive procurement policies, procedures, and strategies that align with organizational goals and support operational needs
- Forecast procurement requirements in collaboration with department heads to ensure timely and efficient sourcing of goods and services
- Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers, vendors, and contractors to support mutual success
- Manage purchasing systems and approval workflows, ensuring purchase orders, supplier setup, pricing, contract terms, and approval limits are maintained accurately and in compliance with company policy
- Coordinate with relevant departments to resolve delivery discrepancies, pricing variances, and supplier invoice queries in a timely and professional manner
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms strategically to achieve optimal value, quality, and service levels
- Source and evaluate new suppliers and products to enhance quality, efficiency, sustainability, and innovation
- Support organizational sustainability and responsible sourcing objectives by identifying local, ethical, and environmentally responsible suppliers where commercially viable
- Monitor and analyze procurement budgets, track expenditures, and implement cost-control initiatives to maximize financial efficiency
- Collaborate with Finance and Operations teams to optimize spending and maintain financial compliance and transparency
- Oversee inventory control, stock levels, and reorder points to prevent shortages or overstock situations
- Mitigate risks related to supplier reliability, quality, delivery, and supply chain disruptions
- Maintain proper documentation, contracts, and records for auditing and reporting purposes
- Prepare comprehensive reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, cost savings, and operational efficiency for executive review
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support organizational objectives
- Proven track record in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management with demonstrated ability to deliver results under pressure
- Proficiency with procurement and inventory management systems
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with professional demeanor and ability to articulate ideas clearly
- Advanced negotiation skills with the ability to achieve favorable terms and conditions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with keen attention to detail
- Proficiency in data analysis and financial acumen for budget management and cost optimization
- Knowledge of procurement policies, compliance requirements, and regulatory standards
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience in supplier relationship management and vendor evaluation
- Familiarity with food safety, traceability, and quality assurance standards
- Background in leading and mentoring procurement teams
