Job description

  • Develop and implement comprehensive procurement policies, procedures, and strategies that align with organizational goals and support operational needs
  • Forecast procurement requirements in collaboration with department heads to ensure timely and efficient sourcing of goods and services
  • Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers, vendors, and contractors to support mutual success
  • Manage purchasing systems and approval workflows, ensuring purchase orders, supplier setup, pricing, contract terms, and approval limits are maintained accurately and in compliance with company policy
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to resolve delivery discrepancies, pricing variances, and supplier invoice queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms strategically to achieve optimal value, quality, and service levels
  • Source and evaluate new suppliers and products to enhance quality, efficiency, sustainability, and innovation
  • Support organizational sustainability and responsible sourcing objectives by identifying local, ethical, and environmentally responsible suppliers where commercially viable
  • Monitor and analyze procurement budgets, track expenditures, and implement cost-control initiatives to maximize financial efficiency
  • Collaborate with Finance and Operations teams to optimize spending and maintain financial compliance and transparency
  • Oversee inventory control, stock levels, and reorder points to prevent shortages or overstock situations
  • Mitigate risks related to supplier reliability, quality, delivery, and supply chain disruptions
  • Maintain proper documentation, contracts, and records for auditing and reporting purposes
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, cost savings, and operational efficiency for executive review
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support organizational objectives
  • Proven track record in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management with demonstrated ability to deliver results under pressure
  • Proficiency with procurement and inventory management systems
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with professional demeanor and ability to articulate ideas clearly
  • Advanced negotiation skills with the ability to achieve favorable terms and conditions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with keen attention to detail
  • Proficiency in data analysis and financial acumen for budget management and cost optimization
  • Knowledge of procurement policies, compliance requirements, and regulatory standards

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Experience in supplier relationship management and vendor evaluation
  • Familiarity with food safety, traceability, and quality assurance standards
  • Background in leading and mentoring procurement teams
  • Knowledge of sustainability and responsible sourcing practices
  • Certification in procurement, supply chain management, or related field
