Job description

As a Lead Analyst – Market Intelligence who brings 8+ years of hands-on expertise in Power BI, business intelligence, and consumer market analytics within the CPG/FMCG industry, combined with strong leadership and client-facing consulting skills. The ideal candidate will have deep command of syndicated market intelligence platforms — NielsenIQ, Circana, Kantar, and Ipsos — and the ability to translate complex commercial data into actionable insights that drive decisions across sales, category management, marketing, and leadership teams.

Beyond technical excellence, this role demands a strategic thinker who can lead and mentor analyst teams, manage enterprise BI delivery, and engage directly with global clients to identify growth opportunities and elevate reporting maturity. Exposure to AI/GenBI-driven analytics, Microsoft Fabric, and modern data platform technologies will be a strong advantage as we continue to push the boundaries of what analytics can deliver for our clients.

Market Intelligence & FMCG Analytics:

  • Lead analytics initiatives across shipment, retail POS, distributor, and consumer panel datasets to generate insights on market share, category performance, pricing, promotions, distribution, and brand execution.
  • Build integrated reporting solutions leveraging syndicated platforms including NielsenIQ, Circana (IRI), Kantar, and Ipsos alongside ERP and internal commercial systems.

Power BI & Analytics Delivery:

  • Architect and lead development of enterprise-scale Power BI dashboards, semantic models, DAX calculations, and executive reporting frameworks built for performance, scalability, and governance.
  • Standardize reporting templates across business functions and regions while overseeing deployment pipelines, workspace governance, Row-Level Security, and dataset refresh strategies.
  • Champion self-service BI adoption and governed analytics practices across the organization.

Data Engineering & Modern BI:

  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to optimize pipelines, oversee ETL and data transformation using Power Query, SQL, and cloud platforms, and drive modernization through Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Databricks.
  • Promote lakehouse/warehouse architectures and automation to future-proof the BI infrastructure.

AI & GenBI Enablement:

  • Evaluate and implement AI-powered analytics capabilities including Microsoft Copilot, natural language querying, AI visuals, anomaly detection, and automated insight generation.
  • Identify and drive opportunities to improve business productivity through GenBI and AI-enabled reporting solutions.

Client & Business Engagement: 

  • Serve as a trusted analytics advisor to Sales, Marketing, Category Management, Trade Marketing, and Leadership teams — translating complex business requirements into scalable reporting and analytical solutions. 
  • Proactively identify opportunities to expand analytics capabilities, improve reporting maturity, and drive strategic conversations around market intelligence, business performance, and consumer insights.
  • Relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 8+ years of hands-on experience in Power BI development, business intelligence, market intelligence analytics, and CPG/FMCG reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with shipment/sell-in, retail POS/sell-out, consumer panels, and syndicated market intelligence datasets from platforms such as NielsenIQ, Circana, Kantar, and Ipsos.
  • Deep understanding of market share analytics, category management, pricing and promotion effectiveness, consumer insights, and brand and channel performance metrics.
  • Demonstrated experience building commercial dashboards for sales, marketing, category management, trade marketing, and commercial leadership teams.
  • Strong expertise in Power BI Desktop & Service, DAX, Power Query, M language, SQL, and relational databases.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL/data integration, Row-Level Security, workspace governance, deployment pipelines, and enterprise BI governance frameworks.
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies to manage BI projects and analytics sprints effectively.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and executive storytelling capabilities to translate analytical findings into strategic business narratives.
