Selkirk is launching a new direct-to-consumer brand with a unique business model, and we are in the early stages of building out our team to assist with our pre-launch strategy and sustaining it post-launch and beyond. The Marketing and Affiliate Coordinator will play a key role and overseeing campaigns, social ads, and marketing strategies, as well as driving the growth of our competitive affiliate program.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Asset Management (The "Toolkit" Creator). The Coordinator works with your Malaysian Graphic Designer to ensure the brand has a constant supply of:

  • Performance Creative: Managing the production of high-converting Meta/TikTok ads (static and video).
  • Affiliate "Swipe" Kits: Creating pre-approved sets of Instagram Stories, captions, and email templates that affiliates can download and use instantly.
  • Lander Optimization: Coordinating updates to landing pages that specifically "sell the dream" of the business model.
Marketing Campaign Roles (The "Growth" Driver) The Coordinator will execute three specific types of campaigns:
  • The "Passion" Recruitment Campaign: Running ads and outreach specifically to find people who love your niche but don't know they can get paid for it yet.
  • Flash Sale Coordination: Syncing the designer, the email list, and the affiliate base so everyone promotes the same product at the same time for maximum impact.
  • Educational Webinars/Lives: Hosting or coordinating live sessions that teach affiliates how to sell your product effectively, increasing their LTV (Lifetime Value).

Qualifications

Education & Experience
  • Academic Background: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • D2C Expertise: 2+ years of experience in Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) or E-commerce marketing. Experience in the sporting goods or fitness industry is a major plus.
  • Affiliate Management: Proven track record of managing affiliate or "ambassador" programs, specifically moving beyond just "paying for posts" to building high-LTV partnerships.
  • Startup Agility: Experience in a pre-launch or early-stage environment; you are comfortable building processes where none exist yet.
Technical & Creative Coordination
  • Creative Direction: Ability to translate high-level brand goals into specific "briefs" for graphic designers, specifically for Meta and TikTok performance creative.
  • Tools of the Trade: Proficiency with Asana/Trello (or similar project management tools), Google Analytics, and affiliate tracking software (e.g., Refersion, GoAffPro, or Involve Asia).
  • Funnel Awareness: Understanding of the "Lander" journey—knowing what makes a landing page convert a "cold" lead into a passionate affiliate.
Market & Cultural Fluency
  • Bilingual Mastery: Native-level fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Must be able to write "Swipe Kits" and captions that sound natural and persuasive in both languages.
  • Local Nuance: Deep understanding of the Malaysian "social commerce" culture (how to leverage WhatsApp, Telegram, and TikTok Live for sales).
Mindset & Personality
  • The "First-Principles" Thinker: You don't just follow a checklist; you look at the goal and design the most efficient process to get there.
  • Task-Oriented Problem Solver: You take pride in "closing the loop"—if a designer is stuck or an affiliate is confused, you proactively find the fix.
