Altamira.ai is looking for an experienced AI-Assisted Testing Engineer to join our team on a freelance, hourly-paid basis. This is a full-time engagement across two active client projects, where you'll combine traditional QA expertise with modern AI-powered testing approaches.
If you actively use tools like Claude, Copilot, Cursor, or similar AI assistants in your daily QA workflow and know how to validate their output critically, we'd love to hear from you.
Projects
Project 1: Custom Manufacturing Platform
A web-based solution for a custom nameplate manufacturer, consisting of an Admin Portal and a Client Portal.
Key integrations:
- UPS
- Stripe
- Sage 100 ERP
Main functionality includes:
- User authentication and role-based access control
- Template management (upload, editing, pricing, customer assignment)
- Customer management (CRUD operations, bulk actions)
- User management
- Order creation using shared templates
- Wallet functionality
- Draft order management
Project 2: Aviation Intelligence Platform
An online platform designed to help prospective aircraft buyers evaluate and compare private jets through advanced research and analysis tools.
Core functionality includes:
- Aircraft Encyclopedia with advanced search capabilities
- Aircraft Comparison Tool
- Interactive Range Maps
- Mission Analysis Tool for trip cost estimation and aircraft comparison
- Aircraft market intelligence features
Responsibilities
- Execute manual and automated testing activities across product features and releases
- Design test scenarios, validate requirements, and identify potential quality risks
- Create high-quality bug reports with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence
- Perform API, regression, exploratory, integration, and end-to-end testing
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and test suites
- Utilize AI-powered tools to improve testing efficiency and defect analysis
- Collaborate closely with engineers and product teams to ensure timely issue resolution
- Support CI/CD pipelines and contribute to continuous quality improvements
- Validate AI-generated code fixes, test cases, and recommendations before implementation
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Software QA (manual and automated testing)
- Strong knowledge of test design techniques, including equivalence partitioning, boundary value analysis, and risk-based testing
- Proven experience creating clear, structured, and reproducible bug reports
- Hands-on experience with AI coding/testing assistants such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar tools
- Experience with API testing (REST and/or GraphQL) using Postman, Playwright, Python requests, or similar tools
- Practical experience with test automation using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Pytest, or equivalent frameworks
- Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated output and identify incorrect, incomplete, or risky solutions
- Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows
- Strong written English skills
- Ability to create structured bug tickets suitable for both human and AI-assisted workflows
Nice to Have
- Experience integrating AI into QA processes and testing pipelines
- Experience building or using AI agents, MCP tools, or automated triage workflows
- Prompt engineering experience and LLM output evaluation
- Performance and load testing (k6, JMeter, Locust)
- Basic security testing knowledge
- Experience with observability tools such as Sentry, Grafana, and log aggregation platforms
- Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript scripting skills
- Experience testing AI/LLM-powered features and applications
- Familiarity with Jira, Linear, and their APIs
- Domain knowledge in manufacturing, e-commerce, aviation, or analytics platforms
