Overview
Responsible to the assigned supervisor in performance of their duties. Assures safety practices are followed. Major areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to: residential, commercial, and industrial pest management services, and the safe and efficient operation of industry-particular equipment for NSGB. Must be knowledgeable of laws governing the application of controlled and non-controlled pesticides and herbicides. Coordinates work/inspections with facility managers/occupants. Researches materials, and prepares necessary documents. Responds to emergency service calls during regular hours or after-duty on-call hours.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: o High school diploma or equivalent o Completion of a rigging or crane operation apprenticeship or technical training program o Knowledge of rigging hardware and safety standards.
- Certifications: Must be able to successfully complete the following certificates with in the first 180 days of arrival on NSGB o OSHA 10-Hour or 30-Hour Safety Certification (or equivalent) o NCCER Certified Rigger (Level I & II preferred) o NCCER Certified Signal Person o First Aid and CPR certification o Additional industry certifications may be required depending on the job.
- Experience: o At least 3 to 5 years working in rigging and lifting operations Experience with different cranes and rigging hardware Able to read load charts and interpret technical manuals Knowledge of load weight calculations and load stability.
- Other Requirements: o Strong focus on safety and following safety protocols. o Good communication and teamwork skills. o Ability to work in physically demanding and high-risk environments. o Flexibility to work overtime, nights, or weekends as needed o Valid driver’s license.
- Skills and Technology Used: o Ability to interpret load charts and safety regulations. o Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Working Conditions: o Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 100 degrees Fahrenheit. o Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions o Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
- Physical Requirements: o Heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Very heavy work. Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. o Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents. o Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices. o Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
