Your New Role...

This position exists to support the Payment workstream of Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD). The person in this role will have overall responsibility for executing and optimizing payment functions, maintaining robust payment processes, ensuring SOX compliance, and enhancing the control environment. This position also involves monitoring payment activities, handling escalations, and providing critical reporting and insights to support operational excellence. Additionally, the Senior Payment Coordinator will act as an approver for payments and supervise payment activities performed by the Payment Teams.

Your Role Accountabilities…

Deliver world-class, proactive customer service to internal and external stakeholders while adhering to company policies and procedures, approve and oversee timely and accurate payments, including vendor payments, employee reimbursements, tax obligations, payroll, and other business-requested transactions

Supervise and review payment preparations performed by Payment Teams, Communicate and resolve complex payment issues, including handling escalations and urgent requests.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payment operations.

Reconcile payment integrations, interfaces, and outstanding payment discrepancies.

Provide analysis and reporting on payment metrics to support operational decisions.

Collaborate with various teams across the company, including OTC, TAX Team, Payroll Team, Legal, and Treasury, to ensure seamless payment processing and compliance.

Ensure SOX compliance by monitoring payment activities and maintaining awareness of cross-functional financial processes, Support integration and onboarding of new acquisitions into Warner Bros. Discovery payment processes and systems.

Lead or contribute to payment system changes, enhancements, and new business projects, Serve as a subject matter expert in payment processes and technologies (SAP, Ariba, OpenText VIM), providing guidance to team members.

Qualifications & Experience…

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in PTP / Payments.

Strong working knowledge of SAP preferred.

Banking experience is a plus.

Experience in the Media Industry and/or Media Sales preferred.

Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities effectively.

Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager.
