Production Support Engineer - 1st Shift

POSITION OVERVIEW

This specific role is intended for those with an Electrical Engineering background along with hands on experience diagnosing and analyzing printed circuit boards. In the role you will represent operations before several cross-departmental teams, actively identifying and communicating improvement opportunities related to various fail modes identified through bench diagnostics and data collection analysis. Specific skills that align with the role include analytical ability, detail oriented, self-directed, flexible with tasks, ability to communicate findings, cross team collaboration, and a proactive mindset.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Demonstrate technical knowledge of current and new equipment and/or processes in order to support process development, optimization, and reduction of downtime.
• Drive continuous improvement through lean manufacturing practices.
• Support achievement of departmental key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Interface with other departments on the production groups’ behalf to ensure that company quality standards and customer requirements are met. 
• Participate in cross-functional teams and support engineering staff to ensure manufacturing readiness of new products and processes and to resolve safety and quality problems by identifying the root cause and implementing permanent corrective actions.
• Develop working knowledge of all workstations within the manufacturing area.
• Provide resources and remove barriers allowing teams to be effective.
• Maintain focus on continuous growth and professional development in the related area.
• Other duties as assigned.

WHAT TO BRING

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Ability to accommodate a work schedule suitable for production needs and occasional travel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
