$97,268 – $104,348 + 17% superannuation (HEW Level 6) + Additional allowance

About This Opportunity
Step into a hands-on role where your expertise directly supports a vibrant and complex campus environment. As an Electrician (internally titled Client Facility Coordinator), you will play a vital role in ensuring essential infrastructure, plant and building systems operate safely and efficiently. Working within a collaborative and high-performing Property and Facilities team, you’ll enjoy autonomy in your day, backed by strong leadership and a supportive trades network. This is a trade-qualified role that includes an additional allowance, participation in an on-call roster, and exposure to diverse, large-scale facility operations. At UQ, you’ll be part of something bigger, contributing to the safe operation of world-class facilities that enable teaching, research and community impact.
Key responsibilities will include:
Delivering statutory, preventative and reactive maintenance across electrical and building systems
Diagnosing faults and resolving a wide range of technical issues across complex facilities
Supporting the safe operation of electrical, HVAC, fire, security and building management systems
Coordinating contractors and trades while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders across site

About You
You’re a qualified electrician with strong maintenance experience in large or complex facilities. You enjoy variety in your day, take pride in solving problems properly, and can work both independently and as part of a team.
You’ll bring:
Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician
Current open Queensland Driver’s Licence
Experience in commercial or complex building maintenance
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capability
Good working knowledge of building services and plant
Ability to coordinate contractors and manage competing priorities
Sound communication skills and a practical, client-focused approach
Basic computer skills across multiple platforms
It would also be great if you have:
EWP licence
Dual trade, PLC or Dynalite experience
