About auticon

auticon is a German-Norwegian social enterprise with a powerful mission: to empower individuals on the autism spectrum by integrating their extraordinary talents into technical and IT-related roles. With over 15 years of experience, we have successfully partnered with businesses to achieve exceptional results, thanks to the unique cognitive abilities, attention to detail, logical thinking, and precision that neurodivergent individuals bring to the workplace.

At auticon, we create an inclusive work environment that celebrates diversity and ensures our employees thrive. Our consultants work in a supportive, autism-friendly atmosphere where we prioritize your strengths, understanding, and needs. Our approach is rooted in respect, and the majority of our consultants are on the autism spectrum.

If you identify as neurodivergent, are passionate about technology, coding, and solving complex problems, we want to hear from you.

About the Project

Join an international banking project responsible for supporting critical technology platforms and services used across a large global organisation.

As a Site Reliability Engineering Team Lead, you will lead the SRE function supporting business-critical services and platforms. You will be responsible for the team's delivery from demand intake and prioritisation through execution and reporting, while providing technical direction and driving engineering best practices that improve reliability, scalability, performance, and operational efficiency.

Working closely with Architecture, Product Owners, Engineering, and Operations teams, you will help improve observability, automate operational processes, define and implement service level objectives, and ensure the availability of mission-critical IT services.

What You'll Do

  • 3+ years leading engineers and providing technical direction in an enterprise environment.
  • Proven experience transforming a team into a high-performing engineering/SRE team.
  • Strong automation and scripting skills (Python, Go, Bash, etc.).
  • Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and observability/monitoring stacks (e.g., AppDynamics, Grafana, Splunk, OpenTelemetry).
  • Proven experience maintaining highly available, low-latency systems in a regulated industry (preferably banking, fintech, or insurance).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English; comfortable working in a multi-cultured/global environment.
  • Working experience in Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and within a diverse team environment.
  • Strong documentation, collaboration, and ownership mindset.

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting and improving IT services underpinned by vendor software.
  • Understanding of financial services compliance and risk management requirements.

Why Join auticon

Inclusive Workplace: We are a neurodivergent-friendly organization, where the majority of our consultants are on the autism spectrum.

Supportive Environment: Receive tailored support and understanding throughout your career with us. We provide accommodations that allow you to work in an environment where you can thrive.

No Stressful Interviews: Most of our recruitment processes are designed to be straightforward and transparent, ensuring that you can focus on showcasing your skills, not dealing with unnecessary stress. However some of our processes on the client side require you to take part in the technical assessment, organized by an external provider, which we have a limited influence on. We will however do our best to inform you about it in advance, providing all available information.

Autism-Friendly Workplaces: We ensure that our workspaces, culture, and policies are designed to suit the needs of individuals on the autism spectrum, with flexibility, understanding, and open communication.
