Job description
We are seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Senior Contract Specialist. This role is ideal for a contracting professional with experience in real estate, industrial, mining or infrastructure projects, who is ready to contribute to a fast‑paced, high‑standards environment.
Core Accountabilities:
- An overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development.
- Strategic rather than tactical thinker who will challenge the status quo and leverage the buying power of our clients global spend to create value for the MinAM assets.
- Creation of key category strategies outlining the 3+ year plan for the category, working closely with our client's global procurement teams.
- Develop effective relationships with internal business leaders to understand business requirements, to forecast demand, and verify established contracts are effective.
- Develop collaborative relationships with suppliers to ensure optimum delivery quality and sustained performance in line with business objectives.
- Identifies and implements improvement initiatives in procurement categories, managing our portfolio and creating synergies with other subfunctions.
- Generates action plans along with the operation to achieve commercial and productivity KPIs for our clients' operations.
- Leading sourcing and negotiation strategies using market intelligence and best practice tools such as Chessboard analysis, clean sheeting, e-Auctions, TCO analysis, others.
- Define mid- and long-term category strategies incorporating a global and regional perspective, market analysis, should-cost and cost modelling; capture key asset requirements considering future strategic projects.
- Ensures integration of the category strategy across the function (Purchasing, warehouse, inventory, logistic, COMEX, Payments, A&I, Marketing) and Operations, to ensure lowest inbound supply chain cost.
- Uses AI to complement human effort in the execution of work.
- Executes supplier performance reviews to track performance with contract and business requirements.
- Establish collaborative spaces with main stakeholders through standardized routines.
- Applies an understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain to enhance efficiency, drive optimization, and maximize value.
- A bachelor degree.
- 3+ years of relevant industry experience with a focus on supply chain management.
- Proven ability to influence and engage across functions and mine operations sites.
- Ability to analyses complex business processes, risk factors and control systems.
- Proven competences in financial evaluations and commercial project models.
- Knowledge of materials management and logistic processes.
- Advanced Spanish and English, speaker and writer.
- Experience on SAP System, Office and Contract Management.
