Job description

Senior Manager – Digital Assets Senior Managers at CFGI work closely with C-level management of high-growth, mid-cap, and public transaction-oriented companies. In Digital Assets, Senior Managers serve as hands-on engagement leaders for clients with complex trading activity, fragmented data, and evolving accounting operations. This role is designed for a leader who can help stand up or recreate books, drive audit-ready support, and lead clients through IPO readiness, SEC reporting, and public company execution.

Take ownership of your career at CFGI

  • Gain front-row exposure to digital asset companies navigating transactions, audit readiness, technical accounting and implementation, finance transformation, and IPO readiness.
  • Make a true business impact by helping clients build or rebuild accounting records, reporting processes, and audit-ready support.
  • Own projects from start to finish in lean engagement teams with direct Partner, Director, and client executive visibility.
  • Experience meaningful client interaction and thrive in a hands-on, client-facing role.
  • Be consistently challenged by digital asset accounting complexity, including high-volume activity, evolving data, close/reporting processes, and reconciliation challenges.
  • Enjoy the flexibility of office/remote/client site work locations (engagement specific).
  • Create your own path.
  • Enjoy what you do!

What you might expect

  • Lead digital asset accounting engagements where clients may not have clean historical books, complete reconciliations, or scalable close processes in place.
  • Serve as a hands-on subject matter resource for digital asset accounting, transaction activity, valuation support, cut-off, and audit evidence.
  • Own client delivery for transaction readiness, audit readiness, technical accounting and implementation, finance transformation, IPO readiness, SEC reporting, audit coordination, and other transaction-related needs.
  • Drive the recreation, remediation, and reconciliation of accounting records across general ledger, subledger, and operational data sources.
  • Lead clients through complex accounting issues, develop practical solutions, and ensure those solutions are implemented rather than only documented.
  • Coordinate directly with client executives, auditors, legal, tax, operations, technology, and CFGI Partners/Directors to drive execution across multiple workstreams.
  • Lead process improvement projects and implement changes that create repeatable, audit-ready accounting and reporting processes.
  • Mentor Managers and Consultants, provide technical guidance, and help grow CFGI’s Digital Assets capabilities.
  • Play an active role in recruiting, client relationship building, and business development efforts.

Who you are

  • Eight to twelve years of experience in Big 4 audit, accounting advisory, capital markets advisory, or industry accounting/finance, with a minimum of two years of Big 4 experience required.
  • Digital asset accounting, crypto, fintech, broker-dealer, investment management, or other high-volume transaction accounting experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to stand up, rebuild, or remediate accounting records and reporting support in complex or fragmented data environments.
  • Strong technical skills and a working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, audit readiness, and transaction readiness processes.
  • Highly organized and able to set overall engagement expectations, direction, staffing needs, and review protocols.
  • Effective analytical and critical thinking abilities with the ability to drive clarity in ambiguous situations.
  • Entrepreneurial nature, self-motivated, ethical, and dependable.
  • High energy with commitment to quality client service and positive resolutions to complex issues.
