Job description

We are seeking an experienced SAS Viya Production Support /SAS APplication Support and maintain enterprise SAS environments while ensuring the stability, performance, and availability of business-critical applications.

The successful candidate will work closely with development, infrastructure, network, and business teams to manage production environments, troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and support deployment activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide L2/L3 production support for SAS applications and SAS Viya environments.
  • Develop and maintain SAS programs, scripts, and analytical solutions.
  • Perform SAS Viya administration, monitoring, and performance tuning.
  • Manage deployment activities using Jenkins, Bitbucket, Aldon, and Control-M.
  • Support connectivity setup and integration with external systems.
  • Coordinate with network teams for firewall and communication requirements.
  • Perform SQL query optimization and Oracle database performance tuning.
  • Develop Unix shell scripts for automation and operational support.
  • Support OpenShift-based deployments and platform operations.
  • Prepare and maintain SDM and operational documentation.
  • Lead incident resolution, root cause analysis, and problem management activities.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership to the support team.

Strong experience in SAS Programming and SAS Viya.

  • Experience with SAS CLI and SAS Viya Performance Tuning.
  • Production Support / Application Support experience.
  • Python and R programming knowledge.
  • Unix/Linux Shell Scripting.
  • Oracle RDBMS and SQL Performance Tuning.
  • Control-M scheduling and job management.
  • Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Aldon.
  • OpenShift exposure.
  • Experience working with infrastructure and network teams.
  • Strong troubleshooting and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred

  • Banking or financial services domain experience.
  • Team lead or production support lead experience.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments.
