Job description
Ulbrich Specialty Wire Products, located in Westminster, SC., is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer. This position plays a key role in creating and managing document control techniques, strengthening customer/supplier relations, and the strategically analyzing internal/supplier process/systems.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining the accuracy of certifications and specifications;
- Generating, maintaining, and submitting documents associated with PPAP packages (PFO, FMEA, SPC, and Gage R&R documents);
- Managing documentation preparation for customer on-site source inspections;
- Assisting the Quality Manager with the implementation and maintenance of an ISO-9001 or AS-9100 approved quality management system;
- Functioning as primary point of contact relative to customer complaints pertaining to documentation and compliance of specification;
- Acting as the Lead Auditor for internal and supplier audits; and
- Implementing continuous improvement (A3) and corrective action (8D) requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a science, engineering, or a technical field is preferred;
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience in quality management, quality engineering, or six sigma application; and
- Effective communication skills – verbal, written, presentation; and intermediate skills with MS Office.
Additional Qualifications:
- Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or Quality Engineer preferred;
- Experience in an AS9100 or ISO-9001 environment;
- Statistical data analysis and problem solving ability;
- Ability to interpret customer specifications and manufacturing requirements;
- Team building ability through all levels and areas of the organization; and
- General understanding of performance management requirements (KPIs)
