Make your mark for patients
We are looking for a Global Process Owner (GPO) – Acquire-to-Dispose | Asset Lifecycle & Capital Investments to join us in our HQ office in Brussels, Belgium.
About the role
You will play a key role in shaping how the organization structures and governs how assets are planned, acquired, managed, and retired across our global organization.
As Global Process Owner for Acquire-to-Dispose, you will own the end-to-end process covering capital investments and asset management, ensuring consistency, compliance, and transparency across regions and functions, and act as a key guardian of process compliance in the context of ongoing changes and transformations.
You will help simplify complex processes, strengthen governance, and drive improvements that deliver both financial and operational value. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of asset management and finance, combined with a passion for process excellence, transformation, and cross-functional collaboration in a regulated environment.
This is a senior enterprise role focused on connecting strategic and operational decisions across the lifecycle, in a federated environment where influence, credibility, and governance matter as much as technical expertise. Success in this role is reflected in the consistent execution of asset lifecyle processes across regions, improved transparency and control, strengthened compliance, and the ability to enable effective cross-functional collaboration while supporting transformation and business priorities.
Who you'll work with
You will be working in a team that connects expertise across the full value chain and helps the organization operate in a more integrated and efficient way
The team brings together leaders responsible for key global processes and partners closely with finance, procurement, manufacturing, engineering, and regional teams
You will collaborate with stakeholders across multiple countries and functions, including senior leaders, to align ways of working and support major transformation initiatives. You will also contribute to building a strong community of process experts and help embed a culture of continuous improvement and enterprise thinking
You will work in close partnership with functional leaders and experts, helping connect governance and enterprise priorities without taking over local operational accountability
What you'll do
- Define and govern the global asset lifecycle process, from investment planning and acquisition through capitalization, maintenance, depreciation, and disposal, ensuring consistency across regions and functions
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, transparency, and control by simplifying processes, standardizing ways of working, and introducing automation where appropriate
- Partner with finance, procurement, engineering, manufacturing, and regional teams to align process design, resolve cross-functional challenges, and support successful delivery of transformation initiatives
- Establish clear standards for documentation, controls, training, and performance measurement to support compliance, audit readiness, and long-term sustainability
- Lead discussions with senior stakeholders to influence decisions, challenge existing practices, and prioritize improvements that deliver measurable business value
- Build and develop a network of business experts, promoting best practices and strengthening capabilities in process management across the organization
- Shape and support transformation initiatives and major programs (including wave-based deployments) by identifying and prioritizing process improvement opportunities, guiding end-to-end process design, and ensuring alignment across functions, systems, and governance, in partnership with business and functional teams responsible for implementation and adoption
- Support structured change adoption by contributing to change impact assessments, defining adoption priorities, and ensuring business readiness and stakeholder alignment, while partnering with functions accountable for execution, training delivery, and post-implementation stabilization
Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills
- Strong experience in asset lifecycle management, capital investment processes, finance, or operations within complex international organizations
- Around 15 years of professional experience, ideally in life sciences, manufacturing, engineering, or another regulated industry environment
- Solid understanding of asset accounting, capital expenditure governance, and lifecycle management from acquisition to disposal
- Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma; certification is an advantage
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to listen, influence, challenge constructively, and build alignment across functions and seniority levels
- Ability to work across systems and processes with a focus on outcomes rather than technology, ensuring consistency across different tools and platforms
- High emotional intelligence, strategic judgment, and the ability to balance long-term value, operational needs, and governance requirements
- Excellent English communication skills are required; additional languages may be beneficial depending on stakeholders and location
