The House of Commons’ Procedural Services is currently looking to staff the Coordinator, Transediting (English) and the Coordinator, Transediting (French) positions.
This recruitment and selection process is restricted to employees working for Parliamentary Publications.
The Coordinator, Transediting oversees the daily operations of transediting to ensure parliamentary publications are produced accurately and on time. This role leads and supports transediting teams, manages performance, and ensures quality standards are met.
The coordinators also review and refine text produced through automated and manual processes, provides training, and develops reference materials to support continuous improvement. Working closely with the Forecasting and Tracking Coordinator, the role helps coordinate scheduling and align resources in a fast-paced parliamentary environment.

Education:
- Post-secondary education or an equivalent combination of education and experience relevant to parliamentary publications, specifically transediting.
Experiences:
- Considerable experience transediting parliamentary proceedings or comparable official records under tight deadlines in a high-volume production environment.
- Experience troubleshooting or adapting to technical and system issues while maintaining production deadlines.
- Thorough knowledge of the end-to-end parliamentary publications production cycle.
Assets:
- Experience in supporting and coordinating team efforts by assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and promoting quality and on-time delivery in a fast-paced production environment.
- Experience contributing to training activities, onboarding, coaching, or the development and maintenance of procedural or reference materials.
- Experience working with evolving tools, workflows, or production requirements, including automated text production tools.
