Environmental Safeguard Specialist- Fixed Term-Odisha

Description

This role will be part of Hiring for setting up a PMU for CITIIS 2.0 under Housing & Urban Development Department, Government of Odisha.

The requirements are as below

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science/ Environmental Engineering
• Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience Conduct or review

Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA).

• Identify potential environmental risks and mitigation measures
• Prepare Environmental Management Plans (EMP)
• Prepare safeguard reports, audit reports, and compliance documents
• Maintain records for regulatory and funding agencies
• Train project staff on environmental safeguards
• Support institutions in strengthening environmental practices
• Monitor implementation of mitigation measures

Duration: 2 year contract with an additional 1-year extension possible. Contingent upon winning the bid.

Location: Odisha - Bhubaneshwar, Cuttack, Berhampur, Rourkela, Sambalpur, Puri
