Te Whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
This is a generalist analyst role focused on core accounting, with responsibility for delivering accurate and reliable financial outputs while contributing to planning, forecasting, and wider finance activity as needed. You’ll be part of a connected Finance team that works across planning, reporting, compliance, risk, and strategic initiatives, contributing where the need is greatest and learning how different disciplines come together to support Contact’s strategy.
You'll be:
- Delivering month‑end, financial reporting, and compliance outputs with a strong focus on quality.
- Supporting planning and forecasting cycles, contributing to performance reporting and insight.
- Providing clear financial information and analysis to support decision making.
- Partnering with team and initiative leads to support delivery through reliable finance input.
- Working across different finance activities and initiatives as priorities shift.
- Building trusted relationships across Finance and the wider business through clear communication.
- Contributing to finance projects or areas such as investment analysis, risk, or assurance as you grow your experience and understanding in this role.
Ko wai koe | About You
You’ve built a foundation in financial accounting and are ready to take the next step by applying that capability in a role that offers more breadth, exposure, and connection to decision making.
You’re someone who values accuracy and structure, but also wants to understand what sits behind the numbers and how they’re used. You’re comfortable working across different pieces of work and engaging with a range of stakeholders.
You’ll bring:
- Around 3 years’ experience in financial accounting (audit is a bonus).
- A strong foundation in financial reporting, controls, and compliance.
- The ability to interpret financial results and communicate them clearly.
- Confidence working with stakeholders and building trusted relationships.
- A proactive, adaptable approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A Chartered Accountant qualification or progress toward one.
Above all, you'll have curiosity and willingness to enhance your existing accounting experience and the desire to grow within the finance and accounting world.
