Job description

Morris & Ritchie Associates, Inc. (MRA) is seeking an experienced Survey Manager to lead and support land development surveying projects in our Towson, MD office. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone ready to manage people, projects, and production workflows while ensuring high-quality survey deliverables.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead survey project management and contract administration
  • Oversee and support survey crews and office production staff
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects , including schedule, scope, and budget performance
  • Perform and oversee all aspects of land surveying , including boundary, topographic, and construction staking
  • Ensure work is completed in compliance with surveying standards, ethical requirements, and QA/QC practices
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively across internal teams and project stakeholders
  • Provide technical guidance, direction, and problem-solving support to staff
  • Drive work forward with an energetic, self-directed, results-oriented approach

  • 3+ years of survey management experience (office and/or field leadership in land development)
  • Strong background in land surveying operations and project delivery
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D (required)
  • Proven ability to manage deadlines, budgets, and multiple priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lead with initiative, accountability, and technical confidence
