Job description
Position Summary Supports learning and development through the use of technology tools throughout Orlando Health. Responsibilities Researches, analyzes, and modifies current global learning processes that support educational programs. Researches, consults with internal customers and designs coaching plans and succession planning activities. Demonstrates above average utilization and knowledge of technological capabilities for media design, development, programming, and advanced image editing for global learning projects. Develops, designs, programs, troubleshoots, and tracks global learning programs. Uses commercial software, including authoring and animation programs to develop interactive courseware and computer assisted instructional materials. Conducts audits of educational content within system to assure regular review and updated content. Uses authoring tools, graphic design tools and scripting languages in the design, creation, deployment, and maintenance of global learning applications. Creates and provides end user training for global learning applications including classroom instruction software simulations and resource documents. Serves as a learning management system super user. Participates in system implementation, maintenance, complex trouble shooting, and complex problem resolution as either lead or in conjunction with system administrator. Supports end users regarding system problems, requests, and/or help and initiates the proper protocol to follow through on commitment. Participates in the development of action plans and process improvement projects as it pertains to online learning and performance management or as assigned. Acts in an independent manner, frequently assuming a leadership role in team facilitation. Coordinates for small learning projects as well as performance review initiatives. Creates and provides end user training for Learning applications including classroom instruction software simulations and resource documents. Provides end user technical support for issues related to use of global learning applications. Responds to the mission, vision, and principles of the organization. Adheres to Orlando Health value statements and Commitment to Excellence standards. Assists with monitoring of global learning records providing cumulative data and reports as requested. Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards. Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Other Related Functions Coaches the professional development of team members working with talent technology tools. Maintains contacts with other organizations and associations for the purpose of keeping current in new developments in the education, global learning, and performance management fields. Knowledge and ability to work with Cornerstone on Demand Talent Management System and other similar types of databases. Qualifications Education/Training Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Experience Two (2) years of experience with Microsoft or Mac design software and/or e-learning programs. One (1) year experience with image editing tools required. One (1) year experience working with learning and performance management software or equivalent. Knowledge of adult learning principles and familiarity with instructional design tools preferred.
