Role Overview
As a Senior Web Developer , you will play a key role in building the next generation of the State Street research , operation, and platform s . You will contribute hands-on to the design and development of intelligent, leveraging modern frontend frameworks, cloud-native architectures, and emerging generative UI pattern s .
This role goes beyond traditional frontend development. You will work at the intersection of web engineering, UX, partnering closely with designers, backend engineers, and data teams to deliver highly interactive, adaptive, and insight-driven user experiences. The ideal candidate is a strong hands-on developer with a solid modern web foundation, curiosity for AI-enabled UX, and a passion for building innovative user interfaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop modern, AI-driven web applications, including adaptive and emerging generative UI patterns, primarily using Angular and TypeScript .
- Build intuitive, responsive, and high-performance user interfaces that integrate with backend and AI services.
- Collaborate closely with UX designers, product managers, and backend/data engineers to translate business and AI capabilities into practical, user-friendly solutions.
- Contribute to frontend architecture decisions, code quality standards, and best practices for maintainability, scalability, and performance.
- Participate in proofs of concept and experiments exploring new technologies in web (e.g., advanced data visualization , complex automation workflows ).
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code; participate actively in code reviews and design discussions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex frontend issues, ensuring high standards of reliability, security, and accessibility.
- Stay current with trends in modern web development and user experiences, and apply learnings to day-to-day development work.
- Provide guidance and support to junior developers as needed, contributing to a collaborative and learning-focused team environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 3–5 years of experience in modern web/frontend development.
- Strong proficiency in Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS , with exposure to other frameworks such as React being a plus.
- Solid understanding of building modular, maintainable frontend components and working within enterprise-scale applications.
- Experience working with API-driven architectures and integrating frontend applications with backend services.
- Good understanding of frontend performance optimization, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Familiarity with secure coding practices and enterprise application standards.
- Experience with data-rich or visualization-heavy applications (charts, dashboards, analytics) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Exposure or interest in AI-integrated web patterns , such as:
- Consuming AI/LLM APIs
- Chat or conversational interfaces
- AI-assisted UI/UX or data visualization
- Dynamic or adaptive UI components
- Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies, especially in the AI and modern web space.
Minimum Salary
zł182,004 Annual
The minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.
Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.
In addition to salary, employees are eligible to be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards.
