Job description
The Automation Assembly Technician will assemble, install and set-up automated equipment for producing medical devices per technical instructions, health & safety directives and quality regulations. The Automation Assembly Technician will report to the Automation Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Assembling new automated equipment and upgrading existing automated equipment
- Assisting with the commissioning and qualification of new equipment
- Following systematic root cause problem solving and troubleshooting to resolve issues
- Ordering and maintaining appropriate stock of spare parts
- Understanding and following Applied Medical’s Quality Systems (QS), safety rules and company policies
- Participating in process improvement and cost reduction programs
- Interfacing with the US team; travel may be included
What you bring
- MBO education level in Automation, Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics
- Work experience as assembly/maintenance technician for specialty/single-purpose equipment
- Possess a technical and hands-on approach to problem solving
- Read and understand technical drawings and schematics
- Use measuring equipment like multimeters, dial indicators and/or calipers
- Use machining equipment like box column drills, (belt)grinders, (band)saws, CNC lathes and/or CNC mills
- Working knowledge of quality systems and standards in a highly regulated environment is preferred
- Working knowledge of MS Office
- Proficient level of English and Dutch, both spoken and written
