The endpoints team is responsible for managing all user endpoints accessing booking.com systems. This includes Apple / Windows laptops, VDI, Mobile Phones, Enterprise Browsers and Printers. Role Description
The Endpoints Engineer II helps design, build and maintain the systems that manage our global fleet, containing thousands of user endpoints.
By collaborating with various engineering and business teams, this role is responsible for helping deliver a compliant and frictionless device experience to our colleagues.
This core role specializes in providing technical guidance and support for Apple devices and systems, along with general support for other endpoint capabilities including Windows, Linux, Mobile, Printing, VDI and Managed Enterprise Browsers.
Key Job Responsibilities and Duties
•
Helps design, build and manage the systems that manage our end user devices including laptops, corporate mobile phones, corporate tablets, etc. Taking advantage of automation in order to improve system reliability, scalability and reduce the need for human intervention.

Delivers a competent level of problem solving and troubleshooting, providing technical guidance in their endpoint category to less experienced engineers in the team and IT support.
•
Works with senior engineers along with Security and Compliance to ensure all endpoints are matching global security standards and running compliant applications and operating systems.
•
Helps tailor configurations and systems to best suit the different personas that exist within the organization, in order to achieve a frictionless user experience.
•
Supports and implements the future vision and roadmap for endpoints.
•
Helps coach and mentor new and less experienced members of the team.
•
Communicates changes effectively to endpoint users across the business.
•
Keeps up to date with market trends, new technologies and conferences in order to bring innovation to the organization.
Qualifications & Skills
•
Deep understanding of the MacOS platform, including JAMF, MDM / DDM, PlatformSSO.
•
Intermediate level of scripting E.G. PowerShell, AppleScript, Bash, Python.
•
Experience with global scale deployments across thousands of managed user endpoints.
•
Experience supporting escalations for MacOS, including in-depth troubleshooting and resolutions with clear documentation.
•
Awareness of enterprise IT infrastructure E.G. Puppet, AWS, Virtualisation, OKTA, Terraform, Windows, Active Directory etc.
•
Ability to work independently or as part of a team, under pressure
