Job description

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and Azure cloud environments.

This role ensures system performance, security, and availability by troubleshooting issues, managing upgrades, and supporting backup and disaster recovery processes.

The position also provides technical guidance, collaborates with internal teams and vendors, and drives continuous improvement of infrastructure systems.

Key Skills Required

  • Advanced Linux/Unix system administration
  • Experience with Windows Server administration
  • Strong knowledge of Ansible, Chef, or other configuration management tools
  • Scripting experience with Bash, Python, PowerShell, or Shell
  • Cloud infrastructure experience with Azure, AWS, GCP, or OCI
  • Experience with hybrid infrastructure environments: on-premise and cloud
  • Virtualization experience with VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, or similar platforms
  • Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, or similar tools
  • Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
  • Knowledge of storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, and enterprise storage arrays
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Zabbix, Nagios, Grafana, Prometheus, SolarWinds, Datadog, or Azure Monitor
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills in enterprise environments
  • Experience supporting mission-critical infrastructure and high-availability systems
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals: LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing, and switching
  • Security and hardening experience for servers, operating systems, and infrastructure platforms
  • Experience with patch management, vulnerability remediation, and compliance controls
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes, including incident, problem, change, and request management
  • Strong technical documentation skills, including runbooks, procedures, and implementation plans
  • Ability to work with vendors, technical teams, and global stakeholders
  • Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal (B2+)
  • Experience in regulated or enterprise environments such as banking, telecom, healthcare, fintech, or global IT operations

Preferred:

  • Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, or container platform experience
  • CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
  • Experience with Azure monitoring, cloud migration, and cloud cost optimization
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and identity management
  • Experience with backup platforms such as Veeam, Commvault, Veritas NetBackup, Acronis, or DataDomain
  • Experience with DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering practices
  • Certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, AWS, Azure, VMware, ITIL, or Kubernetes are a plus

Salary: To be agreed

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
