Job description
For our client, international manufacturing organization we are looking an experienced Interim Head of Supply Chain to lead and stabilize end-to-end Supply Chain operations at manufacturing plant in India during a critical transformation period.
The assignment's primary objective is to integrate currently fragmented Supply Chain activities, strengthen operational discipline, improve manufacturing performance, and establish sustainable processes that support future growth.
Within six months, the Interim Manager is expected to stabilize operations, integrate fragmented supply chain functions, restore operational performance, improve profitability, and establish sustainable processes and capabilities that enable future growth and scalability of the manufacturing plant.
Responsibilities
- provide interim leadership and supervision of the current Supply Chain and Operations scope,
- lead the integration of currently fragmented Supply Chain activities, including order management, production planning, procurement and logistics,
- conduct a rapid assessment of organizational structure and capabilities, key operational processes, performance indicators and operational bottlenecks,
- dentify and mitigate critical operational risks, including capacity constraints, supplier dependencies, quality issues, service level gaps,
- stabilize production output and improve customer service performance,
- reinforce and ensure consistent execution of key planning processes, including: sales & operations planning and master production scheduling,
- establish performance management routines and KPI governance,
- standardize operating procedures and ensure process adherence,
- build sustainable planning practices to support future scalability,
- align supply chain priorities with Operations, Sales, Procurement, Finance and other business functions,
- clarify roles, responsibilities and decision-making processes across departments,
- establish effective communication and escalation mechanisms,
- mprove overall production efficiency and asset utilization,
- drive initiatives focused on overall operations effectiveness, waste reduction, rework elimination and productivity enhancement,
- identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across materials labor and operational expenses,
- promote a lean and continuous improvement culture,
- define, prioritize and execute strategic improvement projects.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive Supply Chain and Operations leadership experience in a manufacturing environment,
- proven experience leading integrated Supply Chain functions,
- experience in interim management, business transformation or turnaround environments is highly desirable,
- strong experience in FMCG, consumer goods, packaging or related industries is an advantage,
- experience working in India or within multinational manufacturing environments will be an advantage,
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
- experience implementing automation and digitization initiatives,
- hands-on, execution-oriented leadership style,
- ability to quickly assess situations and prioritize actions,
- strong stakeholder management and communication skills,
- relocation to India, Bangalore for period of approximately of 6 months.
