JOB SUMMARY
Job Profile Summary
ONEOK Corporate Communications is seeking an internal communications consultant who is passionate about developing communications solutions that inform, engage and connect ONEOK’s 6,000-plus employees. This is an opportunity to learn and develop in a fast-paced environment with a top-notch communications team at a company that truly values communications, employee engagement and culture.
The ideal candidate has experience in internal/employee communications, corporate communications and/or large organizations that have diverse populations. This is a hybrid position that can be based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, or Dallas, Texas.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Support planning and production of the company’s internal and external communications programs including but not limited to press releases, media pitches, communications plans, company publications, email campaigns, web and intranet content, branding materials and other digital and printed materials
Execute communications plans and deliverables aligned to business priorities across multiple channels and audiences
Write, edit and produce content for internal and external audiences including news stories, feature articles, email campaigns, intranet content and other materials
Collaborate with internal partners and cross-functional stakeholders to gather information, align on communication needs and support timely delivery of projects and deliverables
Serve as a communications advisor to cross-functional teams, collaborating with stakeholders across departments to develop and deliver integrated communications that support business objectives.
Support the development of communications strategies with guidance from senior team members
Ensure all communications deliverables align with ONEOK brand standards, style guidelines and applicable communications policies, maintaining consistency across channels and formats.
Assist in the evaluation of communications initiatives, campaigns and materials based on strategic goals; apply feedback to improve future deliverables
Support campaigns and initiatives by coordinating logistics, content development and distribution across channels
Contribute to the production of background conversations, interviews, news releases, feature and news stories for the company intranet, website and publications, and audiovisual or video presentations for internal and external audiences
Assist in the preparation of speeches, messaging or talking points for company executives and leadership as directed
Respond to stakeholder inquiries as appropriate and support executives, managers and employees in communications-related activities; assist in responding to inquiries from media representatives, community members, employees and other stakeholders concerning company activities
Assist in reviewing financial and statistical data related to market research and annual report data to support informed communications; help track budget activities related to the production of communications materials and campaigns
Track engagement metrics and use basic analytics, feedback and performance insights to inform recommendations and improve content effectiveness across channels
Partner with stakeholders to understand communication needs and provide recommendations with guidance from senior team members
Support management personnel in handling media contacts and both internal and external communications activities with guidance from senior team members
Support the development, coordination and delivery of communications-related training and programs for managers and employees; assist in developing communications programs for managers and employees
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in communications, journalism, other related field or an equivalent combination of formal education

Experience reading, interpreting and sharing information from periodicals, journals, publications, financial statements and internal communications
Experience supporting the coordination of communications training programs
Experience responding to inquiries from various internal and external groups concerning company activities; experience supporting presentations, panel discussions and media-related activities
Experience working across functions or departments to plan, develop and execute communications in a collaborative or matrixed environment.
Experience interacting, communicating and contributing to presentations and communications guidance effectively
Experience in use and function of office equipment including computers and applicable software; experience using digital collaboration, content development and analytics tools, with familiarity with approved AI-enabled tools to support drafting, editing, research and measurement

Ability to: communicate and/or exchange written and verbal information and instructions; conduct oral presentations

Knowledge of: digital communications channels, collaboration platforms, content management tools and emerging AI-enabled communications capabilities relevant to content development and distribution
Ability to: use approved AI-enabled tools and digital platforms to support drafting, editing, research, summarization and content adaptation while exercising sound judgment and attention to accuracy, tone and brand alignment
Ability to: apply company communications standards, brand guidelines and applicable policies when using digital and AI-enabled tools and developing content across channels
Licenses and Certifications
Professional accreditation through Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) or International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) is a plus.
