Job description
What you will do in this role: The Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) supports individuals in recovery from substance use disorders by offering encouragement, understanding, and hope. This role uses lived experience to help others stay engaged in recovery and work toward long-term success. You will work with patients going through withdrawal & rehab, while interacting with all medical and administrative personnel in our center.

- Provide support, encouragement, and motivation to individuals in recovery
- Serve as a positive role model, mentor, and advocate
- Share recovery education and connect clients to helpful resources
- Help prevent relapses and promote long-term stability
- Support a safe, respectful, and recovery-focused environment
Certified Recovery Support Specialist:
What we need from you:
- Active Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) credentials
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Prior CRSS experience in a behavioral health facility (SMHRF or ICF) is ideal, but not required
- Experienced with Electronic charting systems - Point Click Care (PCC) preferred
- Ability to physically and emotionally assist in emergency situations, including behavioral emergencies and interventions.

This center is managed by TRANSITIONAL CARE MANAGEMENT. We currently provide comprehensive management services to several inpatient healthcare centers throughout Northern IL & the Chicagoland area. These settings include Long-term Care Skilled Nursing (SNFs), Short-term Care Rehabilitation, Intermediate Care (ICFs), and Behavioral Health Service (SMHRFs) centers.
