Job description

Long Term Care is a unique experience, when you come to work you are coming into a Resident’s home. Your feedback and input is used to improve our daily practices, and your energy goes a long way to putting smiles on our Residents’ faces.

We provide a fulsome orientation to set you up for success in your new role! If you were working for us as an RPN, here are some of the things you would have done last week:

  • Built genuine connections with residents—"making meaningful moments” part of every shift.
  • Led your care team by delivering a clear, focused shift report, supervising and mentoring PSWs, and driving the priorities of the day.
  • Assessed, planned, and delivered care for residents with complex needs, ensuring comfort, dignity, and safety.
  • Administered medications safely and accurately, while monitoring for effectiveness and side effects.
  • Managed and documented pressure injuries using enhanced digital photography to track healing and drive better outcomes.
  • Practiced to your full scope of nursing, performing therapies such as subcutaneous hypodermoclysis, IV therapy, and wound care treatments.
  • Partnered with physicians, nurse practitioners, and therapists to adjust care plans and improve resident well-being.
  • Completed timely, accurate documentation and utilizing technology to keep care plans current, ensuring the whole team had instant access to the right information.
  • Supported and educated families during challenging moments, creating meaningful moments of reassurance and trust.
  • Mentored new colleagues and students, sharing knowledge and building a strong, supportive care culture.
  • Participated in quality improvement huddles—your ideas directly shaped how we deliver care.
  • Ended your shift knowing you made someone’s day better—not just through expert clinical care, but through moments that truly matter.

Ready to practice to your full scope in a home where you truly make a difference?

We are currently recruiting for our Permanent Part-Time Lines. As a Part-time employee you can expect benefits including:

  • Flexibility in shift scheduling to support your home life
  • Paid vacation entitlements
  • Pension/RRSP matching
  • Tuition reimbursement
  • Company Events such as annual recognition parties, team theme parties, lunches, outings, and paid days off

We prioritize promoting from within and support our employees' educational needs because we care for the team we have put together. We come to our workplace each day understanding that we are entering our Residents' Home, and we are there to support them. While we don't take ourselves seriously, we take our jobs seriously and love to have fun with each other and the Residents!

Successful candidates will be contacted for interviews.

To be hired into this role, you must have:

  • Current Registration as a Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing
  • Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) check completed within the past 6 months
  • TB 2 Step updated within the last year

While our Applicant Tracking System uses some AI-enhanced tools, every decision throughout screening, assessing, and selecting candidates is made by real people on our team.

This posting is for an upcoming vacancy.
