Job description

Make a difference in the lives of your community! In this role you will have the chance to engage with our Residents and create a welcoming atmosphere for new and current Residents.

Position Summary:

Use administrative and sales skills to manage the office and provide tours or engaging conversations with Residents interested in moving in.

    Responsibilities:

    • Reception and office duties for the “Seniors Living” home
    • Conduct sales-effective “Tours” of the SL home with walk-in’s and booked appointments
    • Prioritize appointments and proactively and positively resolve conflicts as they arise
    • Maintain office operations by ordering supplies, processing invoices, track attendance, process payroll and post scheduled hours including seniority lists
    • Using Canva to create advertisements or announcements for our Facebook page
    • Responds to phone and email inquiries – providing general information and referring inquiries to the appropriate source
    • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required

    Qualifications:

    • Persuasive Marketing and Sales experience required
    • Post Secondary Education with a diploma in Office Administration
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
    • Familiarity/ability to understand the Retirement Home Act and Residential Tenancies Act
    • Experience in an Office and or a Care Home setting an asset
    • Extensive computer literacy skills including Word, Excel and Outlook
    • Ability to maintain records, prepare contracts and complete billing
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage time-sensitive tasks
    • Pro-active approach and able to work with minimal supervision
    • Ability to work under pressure in busy, fast-paced environment
