The company empowers customers to uncover, take action, and rapidly recover from cyberattacks – keeping data safe and businesses resilient. The company’s unique AI-powered platform combines best-in-class data protection, exceptional data security, advanced data intelligence, and lightning-fast recovery across any workload or cloud at the lowest TCO. For over 25 years, more than 100,000 organizations and a vast partner ecosystem have relied on Commvault to reduce risks, improve governance, and do more with data.

The Opportunity:

As a Senior Cloud Engineer focused on Microsoft Azure, you will serve as a key contributor for our cloud ecosystems. You will be responsible for assisting design, implementing, and optimizing environments that are secure, scalable, compliant, and cost-effective. Key responsibilities include the following:

What you’ll do…

  • Architecture Design Support: Support Cloud Architects in designing enterprise-grade Azure environments utilizing both IaaS (Virtual Machines, Storage, Networking) and PaaS (App Services, Azure Functions, SQL Database, Cosmos DB).
  • Automation & IaC: Drive a "Code-First" mentality by developing and maintaining infrastructure via Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
  • Network Engineering: Design and implement secure Hub-and-Spoke network topologies, managing VPN gateways, Azure Firewall, and Private Link integrations.
  • Cloud Migrations: Lead complex, multi-phase migrations from on-premises data centers to Azure, determining the best path for each workload (Lift-and-Shift vs. Refactor/PaaS).
  • Framework Alignment: Ensure all deployments align with the Azure Well-Architected Framework (WAF), focusing on reliability, security, cost optimization, operational excellence, and performance.
  • Tooling & Scripting: Automate repetitive tasks and complex deployments using PowerShell, Python, Azure CLI, or direct REST API integrations.

Who you are?

  • Cloud Expertise: 5+ years of IT experience with at least 3+ years focused specifically on Azure Architecture.
  • Infrastructure as Code: 2+ years of experience using Terraform (preferred) or Bicep/ARM. Experience managing state files and modularizing code.
  • Secrets Management: Familiarity with HashiCorp Vault for managing secrets, certificates, and sensitive data across dynamic infrastructure.
  • Networking Mastery: Deep understanding of VNet peering, UDRs (User Defined Routes), NSGs, and global traffic management.
  • Scripting: Advanced proficiency in PowerShell and Python for automation and administrative tasks.
  • Migration Experience: Proven track record of migrating enterprise workloads from bare-metal, Hyper-V, or VMware environments to Azure.
  • Governance & Security: Experience implementing Azure Policy, RBAC, and Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) security principles.
  • Certifications - CCIE or equivalent/Cloud Certification in Networking for Azure or GCP

Preferred Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • DevOps Integration: Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) or GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipeline development.
  • Containerization: Familiarity with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or Azure Container Apps.
  • FinOps: Experience with Azure Cost Management to provide architectural recommendations for cost reduction.
  • Observability: Experience with Grafana Alloy, Log Analytics, and Kusto Query Language (KQL) for deep-dive troubleshooting.
  • Certifications: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), AZ-305 (Solutions Architect Expert) or AZ-400 (DevOps Engineer Expert).

You’ll love working here because...

• Continuous professional development, product training, and career pathing
• Annual health check-ups, Tuition Reimbursement
• An inclusive company culture, an opportunity to join our Community Guilds
• Personal accident and Term life coverage
