Senior Data Engineer (SAP BO, SQL with Query Tuning, Oracle, Data warehousing, Data mart, Python, QLIK SENSE)

We are looking for you, a Senior Data Engineer/Analyst to help us develop our existing global analytics platform for entertainment products at NIQ to the next level. This role is all about data and achieving as much information from it as possible to help our clients understand the entertainment market and their role within it.

Help us develop, design and implement our next generation analytic products in close cooperation with our stakeholders and clients.

You will be analytical and data driven in your role, working as part of a cross functional team with close bands to business partners, IT-services and data scientists.

 

As a Senior Data Engineer/Analyst, you will have following key accountabilities:

• Collaborate with business partners to create tailormade solutions for our global clients
• Oversee the regular production and delivery of our analytical products to clients and business partners
• Ensure continuous access to our system in collaboration with the team
• Gain a deep understanding of our business domain
• Intra-team and cross-team collaboration with business partners, data warehouse teams and IT-service teams
• Develop next-gen data analytics with the team to enhance clients’ success in their market
• Help our business partners to constantly improve our data products by redesigning and developing new KPIs
• Assist in onboarding new employees in the business departments and train them on our tools and processes

Experience

• 6+ years’ experience with SAP BusinessObjects (BO), particularly in building meaningful reports and analytics using the complete tech stack of SAP BO
• 6+ years of experience in data analysis and extracting actionable insight
• 5+ years of experience in database or data warehouse development and/or data engineering
• Proven experience in cross-team collaboration in large organisations
• Experience working with Agile methodologies

 

Skills

Essential

• Very deep understanding of SAP BusinessObjects 4.3 (WebI, IDT, UDT, CMC, Web services)
• Advanced SQL skills
• Ability to work closely with business partners and understand client needs
• Commitment to continuous learning and development within the role and beyond

Highly Useful

• Familiarity with Qlik Sense, MS Power BI or comparable solutions
• Python (NumPy, SciPy, SciKit-Learn, and PyTorch)
• Experience in query tuning and optimisation
• Skills in relational database development
• Knowledge of dimensional modelling

Nice to have

• Experience with GitHub
• Understanding of machine learning concepts
