Overview The Senior Position Classification Specialist will provide advisory and consultative services to supervisors and managers regarding federal position classification and position management. Note** This position is being recruited in support of potential future contract awards, and qualified candidates may be considered for upcoming opportunities supporting federal government clients. Responsibilities Provide advisory and consultative services to supervisors and managers regarding federal position classification and position management. Develop position descriptions, reviewing existing position descriptions for accuracy, equity, and recertification Determine the appropriate position title, occupational series, and grade. Develop evaluation statements and narrative justifications to support classification determinations. Analyze classification actions to ensure they are compliant with Office of Personnel Management (OPM) classification standards, guides, and 29 regulations. Determine bargaining unit status codes, Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and preparing OPM OF-8 form and other relevant PD attachments. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of seven years of experience providing advisory and consultative services to supervisors and managers regarding federal position classification and position management. Public Trust Clearance Demonstrated knowledge and expertise with Federal position classification Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with staff and the public as well as be persuasive when defending position determinations.
