Assistant Manager - Brand & Content
PURPOSE
The Assistant Manager - Brand & Content is responsible for shaping, protecting, and elevating the company’s brand voice across all external communication channels. In a custom software development services environment, this role will lead the development of high-impact content that communicates the company’s technical expertise, delivery capabilities, and business value to prospective clients, partners, and the broader market. The role ensures consistency in messaging, strengthens brand positioning, and supports business growth through strategic, credible, and conversion-focused content.
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES
Brand Governance & Tone Management
- Serve as the primary custodian of the brand’s voice, ensuring all external communications project a tone of trusted intelligence and professional authority.
- Develop and enforce brand guidelines across all touchpoints, ensuring consistency in messaging, terminology, and visual alignment.
- Review and elevate copy generated by internal teams, refining it to meet a high-end, decisive standard.
Content Creation & Copywriting
- Case Studies: Interview subject matter experts (SMEs), engineers, or project leads to write compelling, data-driven case studies that highlight our problem-solving capabilities and ROI.
- Website Content: Lead the copywriting and content strategy for website updates and comprehensive redesigns, ensuring user journeys are clear, engaging, and optimized for conversion.
- Thought Leadership: Draft whitepapers, service catalogues, and executive-level messaging that position the company as an industry leader.
Digital & Social Media Strategy
- Develop and execute a high-impact social media calendar (primarily LinkedIn) focused on B2B engagement, company culture, and technical capabilities.
- Write sharp, engaging social copy that avoids industry fluff and focuses on value, insight, and innovation.
- Coordinate with the design team to produce accompanying visual assets (e.g., bento grids, infographics, video snippets).
Creative Direction & Team Collaboration
- Work closely with visual designers, UI/UX experts, and video editors to ensure the synergy between written content and minimalist, high-end visual aesthetics.
- Manage project timelines for content deliverables, ensuring smooth handoffs between writers, designers, and web developers.
- Act as a sounding board and mentor for junior creatives, providing actionable feedback to elevate the team's output.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience in brand management, content strategy, copywriting, corporate communications, or a related role, preferably within a software development services, IT consulting, digital agency, or B2B technology environment.
- Proven experience creating high-quality content for technology or services-based businesses, including case studies, website copy, thought leadership pieces, solution messaging, and social media content.
- Strong understanding of how to position a company offering software development, digital transformation, product engineering, or related technology services.
- Demonstrated ability to convert technical discussions, engineering concepts, and project outcomes into persuasive, business-focused narratives.
- Experience supporting marketing, sales, and business development functions through strategic messaging and client-facing collateral.
- Strong knowledge of LinkedIn content strategy and digital brand-building for B2B audiences.
