Job description

Roseway Hospital is seeking Physicians to provide Locum coverage during a period of active recruitment.

Responsibilities 

  • provide comprehensive inpatient medical care to hospitalized patients.
  • assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients admitted to hospital.
  • conduct daily patient rounds and monitor clinical progress.
  • order, interpret, and act upon diagnostic tests, laboratory results, and imaging studies.
  • manage acute and chronic medical conditions during hospitalization

Renumeration

  • guaranteed daily minimum income of $1,200 for family physicians ($600 or half-day)
  • guaranteed daily minimum income of $1,600 for Specialists ($800 for half day coverage)
  • additional shadow billings if above amount is exceeded.
  • accommodations up to $300 per night 
  • travel expenses (including air fare up to $1,500)
  • travel time up to 10 hours per week
  • licensing fees for College of Physicians and Surgeons (CPSNS)

Facility Description

Roseway Hospital (RH) provides health care services to approximately 15,000 Shelburne County residents including inpatient, outpatient, and satellite care as well as primary, ambulatory, and emergency care. Located in Shelburne, RH has 19 inpatient beds and works closely with other health care facilities in Yarmouth, Kentville, Liverpool, Bridgewater, and Halifax. Shelburne County also has a new collaborative practice clinic that provides the opportunity to mentor medical residents enrolled in the Dalhousie Family Medicine Program.
