Hygiene Operative

Permanent contract Part-time – 21 hours per week Grade 1 Salary Scale + Benefits

Appleby Westward are looking for a reliable and motivated Hygiene Operative to join our busy Warehouse team. This is an essential role within the operation, helping to maintain a clean, safe and well-organised working environment to support our colleagues and operational standards.

The Role

As a Hygiene Operative, your responsibilities will include

•

Carrying out housekeeping duties within the Warehouse safely, ensuring all areas are kept clean and tidy at all times

•

Collecting cardboard and plastic waste, ensuring refuse cages are not overloaded or poorly stacked, and baling waste correctly for collection

•

Dealing with spillages promptly and safely, using appropriate signage where required to minimise risk to colleagues

•

Taking responsibility for any workplace trucks or equipment used, including battery charging and reporting faults in line with procedures

•

Adhering to all Health & Safety requirements at all times

•

Part-time – Sunday & Monday: 2pm – 10pm, Tuesday: 5pm – 10pm (21 hours per week).

· Good timekeeping and a reliable, flexible approach to working additional hours and bank holidays

· The ability to adhere to stringent Health and Safety guidelines

· A positive attitude and the ability to work independently as part of a wider team
