As an Estimating Co-op at our company, you'll gain hands-on experience in preconstruction and bidding processes that lay the foundation for successful infrastructure and heavy civil projects. This role is ideal for students looking to develop analytical, technical, and industry-specific skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

This role is ideal for students looking to develop analytical, technical, and industry-specific skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing quantity takeoffs and basic cost estimates from plans and specifications.
- Support estimators in compiling bid packages and project documentation.
- Help track subcontractor and supplier quotes; assist with bid solicitations.
- Organize and maintain digital and physical bid files.
- Use estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, HCSS, or Excel) for plan review and data entry.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, job site visits, or proposal development as needed.
- Collaborate with the estimating team and other departments for cross-functional learning.
Desired Qualifications:
- Students currently enrolled in a Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related program, as well as motivated high school students interested in starting a career in construction.
- Strong math and analytical skills; attention to detail is a must.
- Basic knowledge of reading construction drawings and project specifications preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with estimating or PDF markup software is a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational abilities.
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and contribute to team goals.
