Grade: RCS N Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract - 14 months Shift patterns: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm Location: Derby - DE74 2BB
Join our team at the East Midlands Gateway site, one of the UK's leading logistics hubs, supporting a high-profile customer in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art warehouse environment.
We are seeking a proactive Warehouse Facilities First Line Manager to play a key role in maintaining site compliance, operational standards, and audit readiness across all facilities services.
✅ A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE
- Take ownership of audit compliance and governance across the site, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory audits, with full oversight of pest control, cleaning records, HVAC servicing, and building maintenance documentation
- Maintain, review, and improve all compliance documentation, including SOPs, risk assessments, CAFM records, and Health & Safety files, ensuring they are accurate, up to date, and fully aligned with legal and customer requirements
- Lead and develop the Cleaning Team, managing performance, HR processes, and task delegation to support compliant and efficient operations
- Manage contractors and maintenance activities, ensuring all works are delivered safely, with correct documentation, permits, and compliance controls in place to meet audit standards
- Oversee hard and soft facilities services, ensuring SLAs, KPIs, and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules are met, and all building systems and services remain compliant, fully functional, and audit-ready at all times
✅ THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO
• Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a warehouse environment, with the ability to lead teams effectively and drive performance
• Strong administrative and organisational skills, with high attention to detail and experience maintaining accurate records and compliance documentation
• Demonstrable experience or understanding of facilities management, with a focus on maintaining operational and audit standards
• High level of IT literacy, including Microsoft Office and experience using systems such as CAFM or similar to manage compliance, reporting, and maintenance activities
• Proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to work on own initiative, think on your feet, and manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment; IOSH and knowledge of SHE policies desirable
