Physical Therapist | Orthopedic Clinic Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a full-time Physical Therapist for an outpatient orthopedic clinic in Independence, Missouri . This role is ideal for a clinician who wants a structured outpatient environment, a varied orthopedic caseload, and a team-based approach to patient care.

As a Physical Therapist, you will help patients improve mobility, reduce physical limitations, rebuild strength, and work toward functional goals that support everyday life. The clinic treats patients ages 11 to 90 , giving you the opportunity to work with different activity levels, recovery needs, and treatment plans.

Role Details

Position: Full-Time Clinical Setting: Outpatient Orthopedics Primary Caseload: Orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions EMR System: WebPT Clinical Team: 2 Physical Therapists and 2 Physical Therapist Assistants

Salary Range

  • $65K–$70K annually for new graduates
  • $80K–$90K annually for experienced Physical Therapists, based on years of experience

Schedule Options

The clinic offers flexibility and strongly prefers one of the following:

Four 10-Hour Days Preferred

  • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
  • Tuesday off each week

Monday–Friday Option

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
  • Wednesday, Friday: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM

Clinical Snapshot

  • Patient Volume: 7–15 patients per day
  • Weekly Clinic Volume: Approximately 160–190 patient visits
  • Patient Age Range: 11 to 90 years old
  • Documentation System: WebPT
  • Insurance Accepted: BCBS, UnitedHealthcare, Medicare, TRICARE, Humana, and Aetna
  • Growth and development opportunities available

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient evaluations and identify functional limitations, movement deficits, and therapy goals
  • Create care plans for orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions
  • Provide skilled treatment through therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, balance training, gait training, mobility work, and functional movement activities
  • Teach patients home exercise programs and safe activity progression
  • Track outcomes and adjust treatment plans as appropriate
  • Document evaluations, daily notes, progress reports, and discharge plans in WebPT
  • Collaborate with PTAs and clinical staff to support continuity of care
  • Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and referral sources
  • Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program
  • Active Missouri Physical Therapist license or eligibility for Missouri licensure
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Outpatient orthopedic experience is helpful, but not required
  • Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work with patients across a broad age range
